Calgary, October 12, 2008 –HSBC Bank Canada continues to go the extra mile with the renewal of their commitment to the Calgary Marathon Society (CMS) as the Title Sponsor of the HSBC Calgary Marathon race weekend.
Together with HSBC Bank Canada, the CMS will continue to operate a world class marathon offering a scenic marathon course in one of the most beautiful urban settings in North America. The HSBC Calgary Marathon attracts both elite and recreational runners and walkers for the HSBC Calgary Marathon, Alberta Jeep Dealers Half Marathon, LA Weight Loss 10K, Calgary Stampede 4x10K Corporate Challenge, Family 5k Walk & Run and the Timbits Marathon.
Since its inception in 1963, the HSBC Calgary Marathon has continually grown in both size and scope. The race has evolved from a small community event into one of Canada’s premier running events. The 2009 event will be our most exciting ever as we welcome a new date (May 31), a new course and a new venue.
